There
are so many attractions in France it is impossible to list them all. For more

Mont St. Michel is a small island off the coast of Normandy in Northern
France. The French capital, Paris is packed with tourist attractions and
museums. Biarritz is a coastal town in French Basque Region. The Chateau at
Versailles, 15 miles west of Paris, is one of the most stunningly beautiful
attractions in France and was built by Louis XIV. In Lourdes is over six million
Catholic pilgrims arriving each year. The Loire Valley was the capital of the
French aristocracy from the 15th to 18th centuries and the area is dotted with
the most beautiful castles in France

The
Côte d'Azur or French Riviera stretches along the Mediterranean coast at the
very foot of the Alps and is one of the most popular holiday destinations in
France (Visit St Tropez and annual Cannes Film Festival). In the French Alps are
the deep snows of France's great ski resorts such as the Trois Vallées, linking
Courchevel, Méribel, La Tania, Les Menuires, and Val Thorens. The Pyrenees
National Park extends along the French-Spanish border.

In
French cities visitors will discover many music, dance, theatre, cinema or
artistic events. In rural France villages hold fairs and fetes to celebrate
saints to agriculture. A gypsy festival Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in Provence is
the venue for in late May for the patron saint of the gypsies with singing
and dancing. National days off are May Day, 1 May, when people trade gifts for
good luck and Bastille Day, 14 July, which is celebrated by firework displays.
Regional events include the fashion show in Paris in February, the Cannes
Film Festival in May, the International Music Festival in Strasbourg in
June, the theatre of the Festival d'Avignon in July/August and the Jazz Festival
in Nancy in October. Each area has its own events and festivals therefore it is
advisable to visit the local Tourist Information offices to find out what`s on
in the area of your destination.
